A small town with a vision and a view
The Fairfield area is a rural and farm community with all of the modern conveniences of a city and is situated on the Eastern Slopes of the Rocky Mountain Front, giving it a very pristine view. It is located in Teton County along Highway 89 and is a gateway to Glacier National Park. Freezout Lake, where as many as 300,000 snow geese and 10,000 tundra swans gather in March and in October, is located just a short distance north of town. Fairfield is only 35 minutes from Great Falls, Montana’s third largest city, and home to an international airport and several institutions of higher learning.
Fairfield has a diverse and active business community and boasts of a local Chamber of Commerce with 60 members. Agriculture is king in this close-knit community. Fairfield has as strong employment base including rural electric and telecommunications cooperatives and a school systems that is second to none.
